As part of the implementation of its training programs, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (UFRMI) of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University is launching a call for applications for the recruitment of students for the first cohort (2024-2025) of the Professional Master’s program in Bioinformatics (MBI). The MBI Master’s program aims to train specialists who can integrate into the economic and social fabric, capable of developing and implementing computer and statistical tools to solve biological problems, and developing skills in software engineering and data analysis in the life sciences. Bioinformatics plays a crucial role in understanding, monitoring, and controlling certain diseases. It introduces new mechanisms to refine, accelerate, or automate some medical investigation and diagnostic methods.
Eligibility Criteria
This Master’s program is open to holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Genetics, or any other equivalent diploma. Selection is based on an assessment of the application file followed by an interview.
Duration of the Program
The training is organized in person over a period of two (02) years, divided into four (04) semesters, each comprising 14 to 16 weeks. The last semester is reserved for an internship and the writing of the final thesis.

Applications must be submitted to the Secretariat of the Vice-Dean in charge of Pedagogy at UFRMI no later than Friday, October 18, 2024, at 5:00 PM (Abidjan time, Côte d’Ivoire). The academic year will start on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 8:00 AM (Abidjan time, Côte d’Ivoire).
