Created by Decree No. 96-612 of August 9, 1996, determining the responsibilities, organization, and functioning of Félix Houphouët-Boigny University (formerly the University of Cocody), in its Article 41, the Unit of Training and Research in Mathematics and Computer Science (UFRMI) is an administrative, educational, and research entity resulting from the division of the former Faculty of Science and Technology (FAST). It is one of the 13 UFRs of Félix Houphouët-Boigny University. Like any higher education structure, the UFR Mathematics and Computer Science has the mission of producing and making accessible cutting-edge fundamental and applied knowledge. For its operations, the UFR Mathematics and Computer Science has a Council, a Directorate, four Advisory Commissions, two Laboratories, three tracks for traditional programs, and five tracks for professional programs.
